CMCLS Scrip Program
Dear CMCLS
Parents, Teachers, and Friends,
Welcome to the
CMCLS Scrip Program! We are excited to bring this program to Central
Massachusetts Chinese Language School. The Great Lakes Scrip Program is a
national program that offers our school the opportunity to raise fund by
purchasing gift cards at a discounted price, but your family will be buying them
at full face value. The profit, which is generated from the difference of
the discount, will then be used as the CMCLS school fund.
You and your
family will be the engine into how well this program will work. Some
planning will be needed on your part, knowing how much you spend on essentials
on a weekly basis. For example:
In one week
your purchase $80 of groceries, $50 in gas for your automobile, and spend $20 at
a restaurant.

This program
is not just for your family either; everyone can participate whether it is
grandparents or your neighbors or coworkers. If you had 5 other
participants supporting your family in the Scrip program, you could generate
over $1400 in one year for the school! And of course you will generate
much more if you purchase the clothes, electronics, and X'mas gifts using
script.
We are very
excited to begin this program, and our only hope is that you as a family will
make this program work. We will run the program once a month during the
school year. The first scrip order form is attached. Please fill out
the form and turn it in to our scrip coordinator with your check payable to
“CMCLS” before the deadline listed on the form. The scrip/gift cards
will be ready to pickup in the following school opening Sunday. We will
contact you either by email or phone when they arrive. The new scrip order
form will be available in school post board, scrip coordinators, and the scrip
center website www.cmcls.org/scrip.htm
