2007 Local Summer Camp

Academic Overnight Summer Program : American International Education Associates (AIEA), the Andover-based college consulting firm will run its annual, two-week (July 15 - July 28) 2007 academic summer overnight program at the White Mountain School in New Hampshire. The program enhances the academic experience of students, providing a foundation for future success on elite college admission. The hands-on learning, excursions and activities build student self-confidence, enthusiasm and team work. Students can either choose writing and public speaking, AP Prep for Humanities (languages and history) or Math (SAT, PSAT or ISEE) for those two weeks. • Academic Summer Camp  American International Education Associates (AIEA), the Andover-based college consulting firm, will launch an academic summer program in order to help students in grades 6-12 “prep” for success in high school and college.  AIEA will offer two sessions this summer in Northampton, MA (July 16-21) and Bethlehem, NH (Aug 13-18), that will focus on study skills, critical reading and writing, test preparation (PSAT and SAT), and college advisement and admissions preparation. • 2006海外華裔青年暑期返鄉英語教學志願服務活動  2005年有30 位來自北美地區的華裔青年 ABC (American Born Chinese)，利用暑假期間到台灣偏遠地區（高雄縣內門鄉、花蓮縣富里鄉及玉里鎮、南投縣集集鎮及仁愛鄉）學校教英文，為了讓這些教育資源貧乏的學童 們能渡過充實愉快的假期，他們努力在營隊中賣力教學、演出。  ABC返鄉服務自開辦以來各界好評不斷， 曾經參與 的華裔青年們更是意猶未盡，因此金車教育基金會訂於 2006年6月30日至8月12日再次辦理「尋找ABC史懷哲－2006海外華裔青年暑期返鄉英語教學志願服務活動」，報名時間自即日起至4月30日止， 額滿提前截止；通過審核的ABC皆可至不同縣市服務且瀏覽台灣多樣風貌。
• Taiwan OCAC 僑務委員會海外華裔青年暑期福爾摩莎營 僑務委員會為增進海外華裔青年認識台灣，推動海內外青年交流，特舉辦「海外華裔青年暑期福爾摩莎營」活動。以「認識台灣」為活動主軸，讓參與之海外青年實地瞭解台灣，並於返回僑居地後宣揚台灣，成為推廣「台灣之友」種子。   報名時間：2006年1月15日至3月15日。可向各駐外使領館、代表處、辦事處或華僑文教服務中心辦理報名或至本會網頁（http://www.ocac.gov.tw）逕行下載報名表報名。報名方式可親自報名或通訊報名。本年活動分為3個營隊進行，申請者請依意願自行選擇參加營隊，經報名確定後，不得要求更改營隊。申請人須16足歲以上，27足歲以下（以護照所載年齡為準 ），現居海外且未曾回國參加本項活動身心健康、學行良好之華裔青年為優先錄取對象。
• Taiwan OCAC 僑務委員會海外華裔青年語文研習班  為增進海外華裔青少年華語文能力、瞭解中華優質文化與台灣本土文化、促進海內外青年互動交流，僑務委員會於二００六年辦理一系列海外華裔青年語文研習班，委託國內七個績優之學術單位及文教機構，總計辦理十四梯次語文研習班。凡年滿十四足歲至二十四歲，目前居住於海外，身心健康、學行良好、有高度學習華語文意願，並能適應團體生活之華裔青少年均可報名參加。 語文研習班將依學員華語程度分班上課，課程內容包含(一)華語文教學及福客語教學，採密集式課程設計，課程內容依序增進學員聽、說、讀、寫能力；(二)扯鈴、結繩、篆刻、紙雕、書法、彩繪、民俗舞蹈、國畫、童玩等國粹課程；（三）晚間自行參加晚自習、休閒、知性或網路等輔助課程。  此外，為讓華裔青年能更深入台灣文化，特別安排參觀台北近郊或北台灣各縣市，認識台灣的風俗民情、人文歷史與自然生態；每期結業安排三天兩夜之結業旅行，體驗台灣寶島鄉土民情及文化特色。  語文研習班各科教師皆為學經歷豐富之專家學者或民間傳藝大師，並培訓各高等學府具有愛心，又有活力、才華的大專青年朋友成為輔導員，提供學員學業、生活、人生經驗之勉勵、協助與輔導，更能搭建海內外青年的友誼之橋。  台灣在國際評比上名列前茅，係具優質之華語文環境，有意參加之華裔青年，請就近向各駐外館處或各地華僑文教服務中心洽詢報名事宜。名額有限，請把握來台灣快樂學華語，並親身體驗台灣多元文化及好山好水之機會。
